The first kid’s printmaking course

Adult Pottery class
This is an ongoing session of two hours, either in the morning or evening, where you can have a go at the many methods of working with clay. Coil building, slab-work or even trying your luck at the wheel are all techniques that are available. You can work on functional or sculptural pieces to any size as we do have our own large kiln. (There may be a surcharge for very large pieces of work).
Printing evening class
Aimed at adults, this class will take you through a huge range of different printing techniques, from monoprinting, to lino and etching.
Kids club
This is aimed at school children to follow a course of general art. The syllabus includes painting, drawing, pottery, collage, printing, scultpture -  in fact pretty much everything! We often refer to different cultures or other artists for starting points. The Saturday session is aimed at older or more able child (aged from 10 upwards)
Adult Drawing class
This session is slightly progressive but we welcome people to join at any stage of the course. This is starting to draw from the basics. Each session starts with a ‘warming’ or ‘loosening’ up mark making exercise. We look at mainly still-life or landscape work.
Kids Pottery
This is similar to the adults class but aimed at children on a Wednesday morning.
Adult printing day
An all-day adults class learning the technique of lino printing. By the end of the day you will have produced a three colour print using the reductive printing method.
Kids paper making
Two mornings in the Esater break. On the first day the children will make their own paper using various materials and on the second they will make the dry paper into various objects, books etc.
Kids Puppet making
Another workshop over two mornings, this time making puppets.
Kids monster/robot making
A whole day for children to create large monsters or robots from card and paint! (please provide packed lunches)
Adult Felt making day
A day to explore the process of making felt using both the dry needle felting technique and the wet felting method.
Adults pottery day
A whole day of working with clay for adults. Using a slab-building method, we will be making either portraits of your home or Beach hut wall hanging .
Adults Basketry day
Working with basketry expert Louise Midgley to create a plant support from willow. Please bring secateurs,  a knife and pliers. Please note that this course costs 55Euros including lunch.
Family Afternoon
The family afternoons are a chance for a whole group to work together. To keep in the spirit of the day we ask that groups are made up of adults and children. In May families will have the chance to create a scarecrow that will then join the display of scarecrows at the Aboretum Poerup in Huelgoat for the summer.
Adult sculpture day
A chance to spend the day experimenting with a variety of sculptural materials to produce a piece that can be taken home at the end of the day.
