Amanda studied for a BA(hons)Craft degree at Manchester Met. University where she specialised in metalwork and woodwork.

Since graduating she has exhibited extensively across Europe with work that has progressed through a range of styles and materials over the years.

She has added textiles to her repertoire and now works with wool to create felted pictures and jewellery.

Amanda has also worked in wood and metal to create pieces of automata - moving sculpture  - from large furniture pieces to small items of jewellery that also move. Her work is often experimental and is usually in a state of flux, changing in scale, materials and techniques yet nearly always displaying the common theme of animal observation. Her recent jewellery work is becoming increasingly desirable and is in demand in the UK and USA. These pieces will be available to buy from the artichaut gallery.
